Service Technician M/F – CRYOSTAR
Cryostar UK, (part of the Linde Group) is one of the world’s leading suppliers of pumps, turbo-expanders and associated products to the gases and petrochemical industries.
You will be part of a team involved in the commissioning, servicing and repair of high precision cryogenic pumps, turbo-expanders, gas compressors and complete re- liquefaction units. Based at our business centre in Rotherham, the position will also involve a large amount of travel to our customers sites within the UK and Scandinavia and worldwide, This can be planned and at short notice.
The main activities of this position are in particular :
- Commissioning, servicing and maintenance of a diverse range of product both in-house and on customer sites.
- Decide the extent and method of any repairs that are necessary and will utilise replacement components as he sees fit. He is responsible for the completion of work to agreed and approved standards in compliance with Cryostar procedures.…
- Embody and carry the safety culture within the workspace but also, more globally, within the company, in a visible way, encouraging the sharing of awareness and risk awareness among colleagues.
- Work daily to create a safe working environment, in particular by acting preventively and responsibly with regard to risk management; actively assist in this area in order to achieve zero accidents.
- Propose improvements in safety, productivity, technical and other areas.
- Act with integrity in all of the Company’s areas, and in compliance with procedures and other directives.
We are looking for a service technician with a minimum of 3-4 year’s experience who can demonstrate a strong knowledge of precision mechanical fitting skills, and electrical knowledge especially in the Cryogenic industry.
HNC/HND level qualification is required.
Instrument/PLC/electrical systems knowledge is also essential to the role.
